Review of Revenge From The Grave by Susan T. Parker

Today I want to share with you my review of Revenge From The Grave, a suspenseful read that I requested via NetGalley.

Alexis Ryan is a young girl who has everything going for her, friends, a boyfriend and a bright future – she just got accepted to a prestigious university in Pittsburgh. Her parents are shocked and devastated when they find her hanging from a beam in the family’s garage. An investigation by the police reveals that she had been cyberbullied by the people she most trusted. At the time her parents had no recourse in the courts because the cyberbullying occurred in 2005 when there were no laws on the books to penalize people who used computers as weapons. But Alexis is not forgotten. Someone takes it upon themselves to avenge her death. An elaborate revenge plot is hatched and carried out more than a decade after her suicide. The identity of who is behind the plot is secret. The reader is kept guessing until the last chapter. Caitlin Rourke reprises her role as the young, enterprising newspaper reporter for the Broward Journal-Gazette. She comes to blows (literally) with a new city councilman in Broward, a small town east of Pittsburgh. Broward prosecutor Bill Reese and investigator Richard Morris return in this novel and find themselves juggling multiple cases.

I hated the fact that life kept getting in my way and prevented me from finishing this great read sooner than I did. Yes, this book starts off with a teen committing suicide and then it continues to evolve until revenge is finally achieved. The only reason I didn't give this a five-star rating is because for me there were a few instances when the story seemed to drag.

The plot of this book was extraordinary, the characters were fantastic and when I learned the complete truth, I was blown out of the water. I am glad I read it!!
