The Spirit Behind You by Caroline Clark New Release with Review

Happy Book Birthday to The Spirit Behind You by Caroline Clark! Here's my review of this creepy read.

Warning: Do Not Read Near Reflective Surfaces!!

Trapped in the dark, reveling in the taste of death, a spirit waits for release…

Joe hopes he can salvage his relationship with his sister by finding her the perfect birthday gift. Unfortunately, the gift he makes her comes with a surprise of its own—and it’s definitely not the kind either of them want.

Now an ancient evil has returned to the world, and its singular aim is to release death and destruction—to punish all, whether they deserve it or not.

Tied to those who released its bonds, the spirit must first seek its revenge on Joe and his sister. If they fail to stop this immortal terror, then the rest of the world won’t be far behind them.

But how can you stop something you can’t even see, let alone kill?

I tried reading this book late into the night but I was so creeped out, let me be honest here; scared, that I would only read it during daylight hours. Looking into a mirror on a regular basis is rather difficult for me now. This author not only twists and turns her storyline, she also twists the boundaries of imagination to create stories that play wicked games with your mind.

Joe loves his sister and friends to the point where it can sometimes be suffocating but that’s his nature as he always wants to save everyone. He dumpster dives to create beautiful things, including his sister’s birthday gift. However, little does he know that in what he sees as beauty lies a malevolent evil and severe repercussions are the ultimate outcome.

I highly recommend this book to all lovers of horror!
